Cost of recognition procedures

There is in the recognition process, two different groups.

In the first regulated professions (all occupations in the social,- and health) You need to legally perform a recognition of your professional qualifications in Germany. Without a Regulatory approval is not allowed you, doing the same job in Germany.

For all other professions, it is not absolutely necessary, that you can recognize their training or education from their home country in Germany. The law, in front (see professionals-immigration law) you need to demonstrate equivalent Professional qualifications to obtain a work permit in Germany.

But an official recognition would for you, if you want a long time in Germany live and work, bring many benefits.

How much recognition?

For occupations in the social,- and health.

The current charges by the competent recognition authorities, in each province in which you will work require between € 400,00 and € 600,00.

For all other occupations

Currently the fees are, depending on the type of degree and the competent authority, in between 200 € and 1.000 €. demand the Chambers of Crafts, depending on the process costs and State, in between 100 € and 600 €. In a rejection letter, the cost ranges between 100 € and 200 €.
